At Dicta Care Initiative, we are deeply committed to empowering children through education and fostering mental well-being in the communities we serve. On a recent outreach program, our dedicated team, along with Dr. Samuel Ogbadu, a volunteer passionate about mental health, engaged with the children of Sharing Prosperity Nursery and Primary School at the New Kuchigoro IDP Camp.

The day began with a heartfelt discussion on the importance of education, emphasizing how it serves as a powerful tool for personal growth and societal development. Dr. Ogbadu also led an informative session on mental health awareness, equipping the children with valuable insights on caring for their mental well-being. These lessons were crucial, as they inspired the children to understand the importance of maintaining a healthy mind alongside their academic pursuits.

One of the highlights of the event was the introduction of chess to the children. The game of strategy and critical thinking was an exciting new skill for many of them. They eagerly embraced the challenge, and after a friendly competition, the top three winners were awarded prizes in recognition of their strategic thinking and efforts.

In addition to the intellectual stimulation provided by the chess game, we distributed educational materials, including exercise books and other stationery. These supplies were meant to support their ongoing education and motivate them to strive for academic excellence.

This outreach event reflects our mission to not only empower young minds through education but also promote mental health awareness, and provide opportunities for holistic development. Through our programs, we continue to support children in becoming well-rounded individuals who are equipped to succeed in life.
