On March 8, 2025, in celebration of International Women’s Day, Dicta Care Initiative visited the community of Persons with Disabilities in Karon Majiji, Abuja, for a day that was more than just a training, it was a movement toward dignity, empowerment, and inclusion.

We engaged with a remarkable group of resilient women, of whom live with disabilities, in a hands-on soap-making session. This wasn’t just a class, it was an opportunity to share knowledge, build confidence, and foster sustainable skills that can lead to income generation and self-reliance. Every participant received all the necessary materials to begin producing their own soap, ensuring they could take what they learned and apply it immediately.

At Dicta Care Initiative, we believe empowerment is not a gesture—it is a commitment. A commitment to ensuring that no woman, regardless of ability or circumstance, is left behind. As we worked alongside these strong and determined women, what we witnessed was not just skill-building, but community-building. Hope was rekindled, and bonds were formed.

The session was filled with laughter, learning, and light—captured beautifully through photos and videos taken during the event. These moments not only document the day but reflect the spirit of the women we serve: vibrant, capable, and unstoppable.

This International Women’s Day reminded us that empowerment is not only about raising voices, it’s also about creating tangible opportunities for economic inclusion. It’s about ensuring women are equipped with the tools, resources, and support to shape their own futures.

As we reflect on this impactful day, we reaffirm our mission to continue creating safe, inclusive spaces where women—especially those in vulnerable communities—can thrive. We are inspired by their strength, honored by their trust, and humbled to be part of their journey.

Together, we are building a future where every woman has the right and the means to live a life of purpose and dignity.
